PMA ANNOUNCES SALE OF FROZEN TO KENSINGTON PUBLISHING Peter Miller, President of NY based PMA Literary and Film Management, Inc. is pleased to announce the sale of the North American rights to Frozen, a nail biting thriller, and an unnamed second thriller by Jay Bonansinga, for a significant deal to Michaela Hamilton, Editor in Chief at Kensington Publishing. Frozen will be published as a mass market paperback original by Pinnacle Books, an imprint of Kensington Publishing. It is tentatively scheduled as a lead title for summer 2005. Matthew Snyder at Creative Artists Agency is handling the film rights to Frozen. Deep in the Alaskan wilderness, a pair of hikers stumble across a 10,000 year perfectly mummified body, which is revealed to be a murder victim. Word of the prehistoric victim spreads through the media and a young female journalist decides to call in a famous FBI criminal profiler, Ulysses Grove, to examine the evidence. But when Grove arrives at the remote lab where the mummy is being kept, he makes a shocking discovery. The MO and signature of the mummy's murderer is almost perfectly identical to a present day serial killer whom Grove has been obsessively hunting! Much to the ridicule of his colleagues, Grove becomes fixated with the connections between the murdered Ice Man and the victims of the current at-large serial killer. Working alone, plagued by visions, Grove is plunged into a surreal man hunt with a surprise conclusion that spans centuries! Jay Bonansinga is an accomplished author who has thrilled audiences for years with his seven popular novels including Head Case, Oblivion, The Sleep Police, and The Killer's Game. The movie version of The Killer's Game has been optioned by Intermedia who is in negotiations with a studio and plans are being set for the film to go into production in the spring of 2005. Jay's eighth book, his first published non-fiction work, The Sinking of the Eastland: America's Forgotten Tragedy, will be published by Kensington's Citadel imprint as a hard cover title in October 2004.
