ANNOUNCING MULTI-BOOK DEAL FOR VETERAN
TRUE-CRIME AUTHOR M. WILLIAM PHELPS

PMA Literary & Film Management President Peter Miller has negotiated a multi-book deal with Kensington Publishing Corp.'s Editor-in-Chief Michaela Hamilton for veteran author M. William Phelps.

With many of the details regarding the terms and conditions of Phelps's contract being kept confidential, the first book, which Phelps has been researching since December 2004, will be titled Murder in the Heartland, and focus on the shocking case involving the murder of Bobbie Jo Stinnett, 23, in Skidmore, Missouri, back on December 16, 2004. Lisa Montgomery, 36, admitted killing Bobbie Jo, cutting her eight-month-old fetus from her womb and kidnapping it. She is set to stand trial for the brutal slaying on April 24, 2006.

Phelps is writing the book from the point of view of the two towns—Skidmore, MO, and Melvern, KS—mostly affected by the tragedy, and one family's quest to get the truth about the case out. Phelps is a seasoned investigative journalist and the author of four previous true crime titles. With the help of someone extremely close to the case, he has obtained new information and will be breaking several exclusive stories in the book, putting to rest all the rumor, speculation and lies that have shrouded the case from day one.

Please contact M. William Phelps directly for an interview and/or more information.
