FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FEBRUARY 23, 2006
ACCLAIMED NON-FICTION CRIME AUTHOR
INVOLVED IN TWO NEW INTERNET PROGRAMS New York, New York; Hartford, Connecticut; February 21, 2006PMA Literary & Film Management President Peter Miller is proud to announce the availability of three Amazon Shorts written by veteran non-fiction crime author M. William Phelps on Amazon.com. I saw this as a great opportunity to build my client's career, Miller said from his New York office. It's the perfect venue for Mr. Phelps to explore new genres while, at the same time, writing shorter versions of original non-fiction crime that may not work in book form. It also introduces new readers to a great author! To access Amazon Shorts by M. William Phelps, please visit www.amazon.com/shorts. Amazon Shorts, Phelps said recently from his Connecticut office, has allowed authors like me to publish lengthy articles and short e-books, if you will, in between major projects. I like it because it gives me the opportunity to connect with different readers and serve my core fan base with great true crimes stories that work in short form. My first three run the gamut of genres, which is what I wanted to do, Phelps said. I wrote one narrative based on an interview I conducted with Dr. Henry Lee regarding the differences between real forensic science and television CSI; there's also a narrative non-fiction story of the worst coal mining disaster in American history; and, more in line with the books I write, a rather long narrative biography of Amy Archer-Gilligan, the nation's first female serial killer/Black Widow. Titled Dead People Won't Walk Away: Inside the Real World of Forensic Science with Dr. Henry Lee, City of Ruin: Exploring the Nation's Worst Coal Mining Disaster and Amy Archer-Gilligan: Entrepreneur, Caretaker, Serial Killer, Phelps's three Shorts gives readers a new avenue to explore his writing. Phelps is also participating in Amazon Connect, a program in which authors can post messages directly to their readers via the Amazon.com home page. Amazon Connect posts will appear automatically only to customers who have purchased books by Phelps in the past. Posts can also be accessed from the detail pages of books written by Phelps, as well his author profile page. I like this, too, concluded Phelps, and have just signed up for it. It allows me to reach out to my fans and bond with new readers on a more personal, intimate level. It allows readers to tell me what they like and dislike about my books in a non-threatening way. We can chat about a recent episode of LOST or the SOPRANOS, react to things going on in the world, or just talk about literature. To contact Phelps, call his office: 860-870-7247; e-mail: mwilliamphelps@comcast.net. Visit www.mwilliamphelps.com to learn more about the author. M. William Phelps is managed by Peter Miller, PMA Literary & Film Management, 45 West 21st Street, Fourth Floor, New York, NY 10010, 212-929-1222, , www.pmalitfilm.com. |
