PMA PLACES UNDOING I DO BY ANASTASIA ROYAL
WITH THOMAS DUNNE BOOKS/ST. MARTIN'S PRESS

Peter Miller, President of PMA Literary & Film Management, Inc., announces the sale of North American and Canadian Rights to Undoing I Do by Anastasia Royal, to Erin Brown, Editor at Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's Press, in a nice deal. PMA manages Audio, Foreign, and Film Rights to this title.

Anastasia Royal's Undoing I Do is a brilliant new addition to the genre of fictionalized literary memoir.

Undoing I Do is much more than an anatomy of a divorce—a genre just now finding its place in the market. Through wry wit and uniquely poetic—at times, even oddly hilarious observations on the nature of relationships, the charmingly erratic, free-spirited narrator Claire reflects, obsesses, rages, and pines on her remembrances of things past. Relatable to anyone who's ever been in a relationship, good or bad, Undoing I Do is a reflection on the bittersweet saga of one unconventional but unconquerable woman's determination to overcome the hostile termination of her marriage and raise her two children alone, while living life on her own terms.

With insight, honesty, humor, a healthy dose of libido and the hard-won wisdom of a survivor, Ms. Royal runs a vivifying jolt through the cold statistic that 50 percent of all American marriages end in divorce—typically with devastating results.

Ms. Royal is an accomplished, multi-disciplinary Chicago artist, poet, playwright, actress, pianist and composer and she's put everything she has into this intricate yet accessible work of contemporary literature-comparable to the cinematic style of Jim Jarmusch with its engrossing chain of interlocking vignettes. You can read many of the chapters of Undoing I Do in less than a minute, but there's a good chance you'll be holding onto it for hours.
