FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PMA PLACES DR. JEAN-PIERRE ISBOUTS'
YOUNG JESUS WITH ANNE BARTHEL OF STERLING Peter Miller, President of PMA Literary & Film Management, Inc., announces the sale of World English Rights to Young Jesus by Dr. Jean-Pierre Isbouts to Anne Barthel, Executive Editor of Sterling Publishing, in a nice deal. PMA manages the Foreign, and Film Rights to this title. Young Jesus offers a revolutionary psychological portrait of the adolescent Jesus as a boy scarred by peasant rebellion, economic repression and the wholesale displacement of the Galilean peasantry. Drawing from modern economic, forensic and psychological models as well as Roman and Jewish documents, archaeologist and historian Dr. Jean-Pierre Isbouts shows that these conditions led to an outbreak of malnutrition, disease and birth defects on an unprecedented scale. This, he argues, galvanized Jesus' mission as a social activist and religious rebel, emulating the career of another prominent Jewish dissident: the prophet Jeremiah. Dr. Jean-Pierre Isbouts is Professor of Culture and Media Studies at Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA. He is the Author of From Moses to Muhammad and a major 2007 publication by National Geographic Society, entitled The Biblical World. He is also the Writer/Director of three major television specials on the subject of biblical history and interfaith tolerance.
